CHOCOLATE FUDGE CAKE

Who doesn’t crave for a chocolate fudge cake? This recipe tastes like you’re having both, homemade brownies and chocolate cupcake. Let’s get into the recipe without wasting time because SinBakes take orders as well.

INGREDIENTS

▖ 3 ounces semi-sweet chocolate

▖ 1/4 cup (60ml) heavy cream

▖ 3 Tablespoons (36g) brown sugar

▖ 2 Tablespoons (30ml) vegetable oil

▖ 2 Tablespoons egg (crack 1 egg, beat it, use 2 Tablespoon)

▖ 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

▖ 6 Tablespoons (45g) all-purpose flour (spoon & leveled)

▖ 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

▖ 1/8 teaspoon baking soda

PROCEDURE

▖ Grease the ramekin or the baking utensil and put parchment sheet or silicone baking mat.

▖ Pre-heat the oven at 350 degree C.

▖ Coarsely chop 2 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate. Combine the chopped chocolate and heavy cream in a medium heatproof bowl. Microwave for about 25 seconds. Stir it vigorously until melted and combined. If not melted, microwave it with 5 seconds increment.

▖ Once melted and smooth, whisk in the brown sugar until no lumps remain. Whisk in the oil, egg, and vanilla until combined. Set aside.

▖ In a small bowl, whisk the flour, baking powder, and baking soda together. Pour into the wet ingredients and fold with a rubber spatula until all of the ingredients are mixed without any lumps. Pour it in Ramekins, they should be ¾ of the full way.

▖ Bake for 15-16 minutes, rotating the pan at the 8 minute mark. If you’re worried they aren’t baked properly, bake for another minute or two. The centers are supposed to be slightly gooey and there is melted chocolate inside. Serve warm.

NOTES

▖ Do not make ahead of time, it doesn’t taste the same. It may become hard.

▖ This recipe make 2 of the chocolate fudge cakes (small ones), double or triple the amounts if you want to increase the number of cakes.

▖ Quality chocolate is important because chocolate is the main ingredient in this recipe. Using cheap chocolate or chocolate chips can spoil the taste and the quality of the cake.

▖ Use 6-ounces of ramekins

▖ A substitute of vegetable oil can be, canola or melted coconut oil.

▖ The baking time is given according to the size of the ramekins. We’d highly suggest you to buy the specific size for desired results.
